Köprübaşı Bağları

In the lands where the Lydians, one of Anatolia’s ancient wine-making civilisations, established their vineyards 3,000 years ago

Since 2016

Luminous, Glistening Lands

In 2016, in the Köprübaşı district of Salihli, Manisa, situated in the region where the Lydians—one of Anatolia’s ancient wine-making civilisations—established their vineyards 3,000 years ago, near the Gediz River basin (known in antiquity as the Hermos); on our land situated at an altitude of 650 metres, where the soil, rich in quartz, glistens everywhere, and where much of the land—virgin soil untouched since ancient times—was meticulously tilled and planted.

On this long journey that began from scratch, our vines are growing with patience and hard work. Situated at an altitude of 650 metres above sea level on sloping terrain where the Aegean and continental climates meet, and bathed in the gentle breezes that blow throughout the year, our vineyard is a place of great potential and full of surprises, where the significant day-night temperature difference enhances the aromatic richness. We eagerly await the future potential of our vines as they continue to mature.

Principle of Production

In our vineyards, we practise controlled agricultural production based on traceability and reliability, guided by the principles of low-yield viticulture and respect for nature. In the fight against diseases and pests, we utilise electronic monitoring systems to enable early diagnosis and intervention. The grapes are harvested by hand and, immediately after harvesting, are stored in our cold storage facilities until they reach the appropriate processing temperature. The principle of harvesting in the early morning hours aims to preserve the grapes’ vitality until they are processed.
